Script (part 2):
Into The Archives Guide 1: H.H. Holmes Murder Hotel
So HH Holmes was a serial killer in the 1890s and he himself claimed to have over 200 victims but historians have since revealed it was more like around 10. He is famous for having the murder castle or the murder hotel.
(Ahh I think I know who you’re talking about its American Horror Story right?)
Yeah I think so! Herman Webster Mudgett was his real name, which I cant lie, doesn’t really have the same ring that HH Holmes does. So he changed his name to HH Holmes which basically allowed him to not get caught and have multiple different aliases.
During his years at university, he and one of his teachers robbed graves to supply medical cadavers, eventually moving on to murder.
In 1887, he bought an empty plot of land and began building the murder castle.
The building included a vault, a crematorium, trapdoor in the floor, acid vats and pits of quicklime to use on decaying corpses. The ground floor was a storefront so basically included lots of shops and things like a barbers to make it seem normal.
(So people would visit this building right?)
Yeah so there were also apartments on the first floor that people could stay in. But most of them weren’t actually hotel rooms. Apparently there were like 38 rooms each with a different method of killing.
(Wow that is crazy. But like how did the builders building this not know?)
Well, some of the rooms had like no doors or no windows and you could only fall in through a trap door. So obviously they would get suspicious but Holmes would immediately sack them and say it was a breach of contract and he’d draft people in straight away.
(Ahh right.)
You said about American Horror Story?
(Yeah so basically in Season 5 I think it is? American Horror Story: Hotel is inspired by this true crime story. It has that guy in it – Evan Peters)
Oh right that one. Well there you go. There’s also that game that came out recently – The Devil In Me – made by the Until Dawn devs which basically is a game about this story too.
(So if you want to know more about this case there is plenty of media and bits floating around the internet about the murder castle and HH Holmes.)

Pros of ring :
HD video
2 way talk
Motion detection to detect snoopers
Home security is important, everyone knows this. But what you might not know is the new ring doorbell. Fitted with HD video and Motion Detection, you’ll know the moment someone steps on your property. (quietly in the background we'll hear some footsteps, the ring sound effect and a swift "OI!"). If crime is making you scared, get a ring doorbell and be prepared.
Jingle Plan:
For my jingle, I will use a range of programs and equipment to successfully create and produce it. For recording, I will use a microphone attached to a boom arm and record the presenter speaking.
The presenter will say something along the lines of "You're listening to Hit and Run Radio", followed by a line similar to "The best true crime stories in one place." Considering that there will be multiple jingles that need to be created (intro, into the archives, etc.), I will consider recording more voice lines.
Jingle 1: Intro sound effect (taken from royalty free YouTube audio library) edited with Adobe Audition. Royalty free song will play with voice over. More edited sound effects and ends: goes back to presenters.
Jingle 2: Into the archives jingle. (Royalty free song from Pixabay) edited in Adobe Audition. Radio static playing at the start, fades into song. Jingle ends with turntable stopping sound effect.
